That is the OEM fan clutch. I've owned the truck since new.

They must have changed design, my 01 as shown is a flat pancake.

Yeah, I'm dreading the trip. The closest boneyard is kinda high with their prices too, they wanted $75 for the fan only. They wanted to be paid up front because it was "special order" from a boneyard in La, they couldn't handle the payment over the phone so I was going to have to make two trips. After you showed me the one that Rock had, I got a new fan and clutch with shipping for $86. Also I went there about two years ago and they wouldn't let anyone on the yard, cited insurance reasons. The trip to San Antonio isn't going to be easy either, there's a lot of road construction, but there's a lot of junkyards down there. I'm thinking I'll put it off for a while, maybe combine with another trip if I need to go down there, make it a twofer. I'm not too worried now about overheating, my new fan is pulling some air through the radiator.. enough to hold a sheet of paper on and if I get into a bind I can turn on "defrost". Besides, I'm retired with no schedule and if I sit by the road for a while cooling off.... no big deal

What part of the hill country are you in, La Grange or Johnson City?

80 miles is only $15 in gas. Shipping from here would be around 35 plus what the JY asked. Not quite worth it.

I'm about 25 miles NW of Kerrville in the middle of nowhere. Closest boneyard doesn't have any Dak/Dur 2000-2004 to look at, so the trip to SA is a must. Don't know right now when I might do it, probably wait until after the Holidays, I don't want to get caught in the Christmas shopping mess. Anyway, my wife and I go to town once or maybe twice a week and I've got my 2000 Dodge Duelly as well, so it can wait. Meantime I'm going to keep looking around, might find somebody on line that has what I need.

I need three parts for my cooling system. Starting at the point from the radiator toward the motor (I don't need the radiator).

1st part: The upper plastic piece that contains the windshield washer reservoir and the coolant overflow reservoir. It needs to have the plastic studs sticking out to mount the fan shroud on.

2nd part: The lower half of the 1st part and it also needs the plastic studs sticking out to mount the fan shroud on.

3rd part: The fan shroud.

I'm not sure but I think all Dakota's from 2000 to 2004 with the V6 3.9 or 3.7 has this setup.
Throughout this thread there are lots of pictures that shows what I need. Somehow, it's yet to be explained (had this truck only a couple months) but I have the V8 setup with my 3.7 V6 which is causing an overheating problem.

You mean the overflow tank?

Yes I do believe so forgot about that but I can just rig something up as with the 2.5 I have lots of room.

I'm getting the rad this week a 1 1\4 thick rad locally from expressradiator I also need a bottom hose.

I've seen a few videos were they remove the top cross member not the bumper to remove the rad .

You think that's easer than the bumper?
