Default EVAP 97 2.5 dakota

Ok i the big hose or the one on top stops short at the fire wall were does it go to i remember years back it melted from the exhaust i think this were im getting my vacuum leak from an crappy gas miles

Post a Pic your description tells me nothing useful.

A big Pic please

Sounds like your evap line to the gas tank as its near the exhaust only thing that comes to mind.

Default cant upload pic

Dont have a computer just my phone when i go to upload say files to big- Heres what got the Evap box box there are 3 hoses that come out the side the biggest one runs towards the engine an stops at the firewall Where does it go to ot What comes on the end if you want i post this on the Facebook dodgeform.com so you can see the pics

Get a new cheap Laptop you can find them around $380 most at that price are decent and portable.

Never by a used Laptop NOT worth lt best is buy last years model at a blowout price.

This is number 5 with the S tube coming out of it this should be between the battery and power block I think this is the one you are talking about





I will say if you have the SMOG stuff turned off disconnected I don't think its going to matter it should have nothing to do with how bad your engine is running you may get a dash warning light but that's it.

If anything unplug # 10 and see what happens this should shut down all smog its next to the A/C drier tank in the below Pic just above my blue intake hose.

Another test is either unplug #5 or pull off #12 the vacuum hose from #5 and plug up the vacuum hose see if things get better or worse in regards to how your engine runs.

Do you need SMOG testing in your State?

If not you could unplug all this and see if your 2.5 runs better but you will get a lot of dash warnings.
