Default Truck whistling sound

I got no codes for vacuum leak I did check the lines and did find dry rot that I replaced I got one code for very small evap leak. I was thinking that I needs to replace the valve cover gaskets there leaking oil a bit. Would that be were I hear it to? Anyone got a diagram for vacume hoses. I might of missed one

What engine do you have Rut? There should be a vacuum hose routing diagram under the hood.

When does it whistle? Have you ruled out the accessories? Take the belt off for a minute or so and see what happens.

So the whistle stopped? Check your accessories, the alternator, p/s pump, a/c compressor, water pump, and the idlers. Spin them over. They should turn smoothly.

You might have a bad bearing on one of them.

I didn't think an '02 3.9 would have an EGR valve?

Took a short vid it gets a lot louder at times. Checked pullies all seemed good. My belt tensioner was sized pritty good but oil freed it up and no change.http://youtu.be/RPoBQYF9NgE

Is it louder in the cab or outside?

Replace the tensioner. Oiling it won't last. If it seizes you're stuck.
