The PCM will get here by Saturday hope. When it does I will install it and see if the problem is fixed. Keeping my fingers crossed that the PCM I bought is in good working condition.

The PCM off ebay for $125 2 day mail arrived and works !! I am so happy that it started right up. After running about 10-20 seconds the ABS light starts blinking and the ding ding will not stop. I went to O'Reilly's and the codes are
83 Dodge ABS Open sensor RR
84 Dodge ABS Missing sensor
82 Dodge ABS The DTS definition is not available Please visit
All I've done so far is come in the unplugged the battery and come in the house to eat. I have no reason to believe sensors are bad in my ABS system because the brakes work fine and they are probably from the other truck it came off of. But I don't know yet ?

Tell us about the PCM you got. Was it "rebuilt"? Did you provide any information such as your VIN to them?

Code 82 - number of tone ring teeth out of range.
Code 83 - tire revolutions per mile out of range
Code 84 - mismatched VIN

The CAB (ABS module) is programmed to the vehicle and speed information is processed through that before being sent to the PCM.

The PCM is used it is out of a wrecked vehicle. It's numbers are an exact match to the one I removed from my truck. The only number that was different was the sequence number. The PCM wouldn't clear from being the battery being disconnected and terminals held together. So I assume my truck is the problem. Who knows maybe the ABS sensors are bad on my truck ? The code 82 is a mystery

Can you tell me how to get the ABS light to stop flashing and dinging ?

You need to take your truck to a local dealership and have them program the pinion factor and*tire*diameter into your new PCM. I had this same problem with my 03 R/T's when I tried to swap the Kenne Bell/B&G PCM flashes - apparently the B&G had some alternative settings, and it drove my other truck crazy, even when I swapped the PCM's back. This procedure is something that the dealership does via the OBD port with a*programmer*and should only take 5-10 minutes - it is NOT a reflash of the PCM, and you should explicitly make sure they are not reflashing the PCM at the same time by mistake. I got lucky, the dealer covered the issue under warranty instead of charging me the initially quoted 1 hour of labor out of pocket.

Does this sound right ? Found it on a Dodge Forum

/\ This.

The numbers on the PCM don't indicate it's programming. If you'd gone online and bought one from a rebuilder it would have been already programmed to fit your truck. The rebuilders use your VIN to load the option codes.

Basically you bought a computer that matched your old hardware physically but it doesn't have the same software on it.

I should have said "the software isn't configured properly."

You need to get it programmed correctly. A dealer can program some of it with their DRB.
