1997 dodge dakota need help missfire
Could a bad catalytic converted cause this? i noticed something is rattling around inside of it its pretty loud i am down to 3 things ether bad crank sensor,Converter, or the distributor is off but i called the guy i bought it from said a dealer installed it but that means nothing I am getting spark and fuel to all cylinders also fixed the rpm gauge found a broken wire.

A dealer installed the distributor? They would have set the fuel sync - should of anyways.
A bad converter can restrict the exhaust and cause a misfire. You can check backpressure with a vacuum gauge. It'll also help determine the condition of the engine.

ok so the distributor was good at this point i just cut the pipe before the cat runs a little better but still has a Really bad miss the compression is good each cylinder has fuel and spark so at this point i dont know least i only payed $600 for it any other suggestions?
I'm wondering about the valve timing. If it's off you'll have poor performance.
On the cam and crank sensor, if they aren't OEM DODGE, replace them again.
Lots of aftermarket sensors, for lack of a better term, SUCK.
