Default 2001 Dakota

Look for the change up sparkplugs for my 4.7L
I'm now using truck plugs champion 4071

Default ticking at start up

Will these plugs stop ticking noise at startup .

No. Plugs have nothign to do with the ticking. Thats lifter noise and won't hurt anything. You could try switching oils, but not really a lot you can go about it.

The ticking could also be a broken exhaust manifold bolt.

Default Engine tick at first start up

The tick Im getting is at first start up and just starting happening after i changed my truck plugs to platinum , that is why Im wondering is there a plug that is good as the champion truck plugs i had , they just dont make them any more. Im running cold air intake and g-force chip.

As stated, the ticking is normal and has nothing to do with spark plugs. Just call it odd that you only heard it after changing to a different spark plug. Maybe now your windows are open due to the warmer weather and the timing goes with new plugs.

In any event, they tick, even with 240K+ miles.

Could be your g-force chip. Mystery snake oil has been known to cause other issues....
