Default 2001 dodge dakota timing chains

I have a 2001 dodge dakota 4.7 150k on it i replaced all timing chain tensioners and guides when it starts cold the chains knock for about 5 mins until it gets warm once its warm it is fine no noise i guess this is a common issue but should i be using thicker or thinner oil i currently use 10w30.?

If you check your oil filler cap it should say 5w-30, mine does anyways. I've never noticed a knock, 141k so far with the original chains.

The engine was designed for it, not an issue. I've only run 5w-30 in mine since new.
