Default 2003 Dakota V6 Throttle Body cleaning dropped nozzle into intake

Well, also tackled a still rough idle on my 2003 Dakota V6 with 65,000 mile. Used a can of throttle body cleaner with the TB on the vehicle and replaced the IAC to keep things simple. Idles much smoother now.

HOWEVER, in cleaning the throttle body I ended up dropping the little plastic spray nozzle extension into and through the intake manifold. I could see it but couldn't get to it on the bottom of I guess the pan that protects the galley of the engine - right?

Seems to run fine and still idles well with the new IAC. Do I need to chase this down or am I ok with the plastic tube sitting down there.

Thanks

Mike

Exclamation

I would get that out even plastic like that could prevent a valve from closing all the way it may not do extreme damage but it could bend a valve to the point it doesn't close 100% and lose compression in that cylinder.

Did you try a screwdriver with some double sided tape on the end to get it out that may work but be careful you may lose the tape like the plastic nozzle and have two problems now?

That's why on the car throttle body cleaning is not such a good idea that and its not going to clean it that much plus you could damage the IAC it doesn't like the spray cleaner much you should not spray an IAC with cleaner.

I agree with '98, get it out of there.

My concern would be a valve not closing and then the valve overheating and burning.
