How do I find out what size the sway bar is on my 1997 dodge dakota sport 4x4?? Thank you!!!

You could take a caliper and measure it.

use or buy a general 729 caliper and measure it simple cheap and handy to have.

Harbor Freight has the digital calipers cheap. Just got one myself.

Most hardware stores will carry a cheap caliper Lowes Homedepo both should have one in store.

Start sticking wrenches on it until you find one that just fits. Read the size off the wrench. Voila! Poor man's caliper.

One more suggestion - take a piece of twine, wrap it around the sway bar, and make a mark across both sides where it crosses.

Take it off, measure between the marks, and divide by 3.14 .

That won't be perfect, but you'll be within a small fraction of a millimeter and an even smaller fraction of an inch.
