My Alarm sys on 2002 dakota wouldn't turn off. towed to dealer, reprog so alarm worked for a day. now no alarm, no lights, no automatic door lock. if I get a used CTM does the part # have to match exactly?

The part numbers have to match. In addition, you'll lose the keyless entry function after changing the CTM - the FOB's won't work. A dealer can reprogram them.

 

Now you need to merge this one with the one you created.

 

That's what happens when you try to do things after being awake for 20+ hours.
