Welcome to the forum Eddie.

Some of the rebuilt PCM's are just not "right."

How did you diagnose it with being the PCM in the first place? Have you checked the ASD relay? It kills the power to the fuel pump.

What kind of scanner? I assume you mean an OBD scanner. What was (were) the code(s)?

Eddie, a neat feature of your Dakota is that you don't need a scanner to pull any codes. Try this, with the truck not running turn the key to RUN (don't start it), then back to OFF, back to RUN, back to OFF, and this time leave it in RUN. Any codes will display in the odometer window.

It'll say P DONE when finished.

"NO BUS" means that the internal communications bus isn't working.

ANY of the components on it can cause that, not just the PCM.

I'd see what has turned up on this forum and some of the other forums on the "NO BUS" error before swapping the PCM ... again.
