Default Keyless entry

Anyone know of a trick that ca be used to program keyless entry on a 2000 Dakota. I don't have any remotes. I Was going to order some off eBay but until I can find out how to program them without going to the dealership there's no sense in getting any.
Thanks in advance. Charles

You can't program the remotes without at least one working. You'd need a DRB or equivalent. Dealer or locksmith, maybe.

Shop around at different dealers also. I needed to do the same thing, i went to the dealer closest to me and he wanted $65 to program 2 new remotes. I looked around and found a dealer alittle further away that only charged $37 to do both.

When I got my used 2001 it didn't have the remotes. I took it to the dealer with the Vin# and was told that it had been delivered with the fobs. I got two off Ebay and went to a locksmith and he had the tool that plugged into the obll port and programmed the remotes for 20 bucks. Love it.
