sludge in oil filler
the thermostat I have in is from auto zone. I just did an oil change the other day and there was no sludge coming from the drain plug. so wat are some things I can do to find the cause of this
00DakDan gave you the best answer its normal but can be a bad head gasket especially with the 4.7.
Sludge/muck in the filler spout is common except out west the weather is not conducive to form it unless you live where it snows gets very cold.

If it's due to the lack of engine run time, I'd just make sure the engine runs longer and gets hotter to boil the condensate out.
Or, you could move to someplace where the relative humidity never goes high enough ... say, the middle of Death Valley *grins*
