I don't think I have seen a fuel line crack from vibration.... I HAVE seen them rust out though...... If you use stainless line, and rubber mount it, should be golden.

I'm struggling to find bulk line in stainless. Everything is aluminum. I wouldn't think twice about stainless if I could find it in 15-20 ft lengths for 5/8 and 1/2 inch.

Grainger has the tubing, but, I think 6 foot is as long as they come.

Summit can get 8 foot sticks of stainless, but that's still not near enough to get from back to front. I might as well spend the extra money on the braided line, and use double clamps to secure it.

Crunching some numbers. It looks like PTFE Stainless Braided hose is going the most economical option, actually.

10AN Stainless Tube, 8ft, Main Supply: $75
https://www.summitracing.com/tx/parts/ear-601696erl/

10AN Stainless Tube, 8ft, Return: $75
https://www.summitracing.com/tx/parts/ear-601696erl/

8AN Stainless Tube, 8ft, Nitrous Supply: $75
https://www.summitracing.com/tx/parts/ear-681696erl/

Cost = $225 for 8 feet. Will require ~3 feet of braided hose at both ends.

10AN Stainless Braided Hose, 15ft, Main Supply: $71
https://www.summitracing.com/tx/parts/fra-706010/

10AN Stainless Braided Hose, 6ft, Return: $71
https://www.summitracing.com/tx/parts/fra-706010/

8AN Stainless Braided Hose, 6ft, Nitrous Supply: $62
https://www.summitracing.com/tx/parts/fra-706008

Cost: $204 for six feet.

Total cost: $429 for 14 feet

10AN Stainless Braided Hose PTFE, 6ft, Main Supply: $42
https://www.summitracing.com/tx/parts/fra-606010

10AN Stainless Braided Hose PTFE, 6ft, Return: $42
https://www.summitracing.com/tx/parts/fra-606010

8AN Stainless Braided Hose PTFE, 6ft, Nitrous Supply: $36
https://www.summitracing.com/tx/parts/fra-606008

Cost: $120 for six feet

Total Cost: $345 for 14 feet.

-------------------

10AN Stainless Braided Hose PTFE, 15ft, Main Supply: $105
https://www.summitracing.com/tx/parts/fra-601510

10AN Stainless Braided Hose PTFE, 15ft, Return: $105
https://www.summitracing.com/tx/parts/fra-601510

8AN Stainless Braided Hose PTFE, 15ft, Nitrous Supply: $97
https://www.summitracing.com/tx/parts/fra-601508

Cost = $165 for 8 feet. $307 total for 15 feet

-------------

10AN Stainless Braided Hose, 15ft, Main Supply: $176
https://www.summitracing.com/tx/parts/fra-715010/

10AN Stainless Braided Hose, 15ft, Return: $176
https://www.summitracing.com/tx/parts/fra-715010/

8AN Stainless Braided Hose, 15ft, Nitrous Supply: $155
https://www.summitracing.com/tx/parts/fra-715008/

Cost = $196 for 8 feet. $507 total for 15 feet

---------------------

So that would revise this to...

November - $350 for the fuel pump speed controller + $50 for fuel tank straps
December - $250 for the main fuel line (3ft of 12AN, $40, and two 15ft of 10AN, $105) + Christmas gifts cost money
January - $600 for fuel pump and $200 for fuel pressure regulator
February - $630 for the throttle body

I'll also then need PTFE hose fittings, which cost a penny.

Brian Esser (the twin turbo 'The Punisher' Dakota) and Chad Spicer (Drag Week 2018) turned me onto the Orme Brothers for plumbing supplies and knowledge. I have been going back and forth with Joel bouncing ideas off of each-other, and he has also been talking to Robbie at Magnafuel while I have been talking to Cody at Nitrous Outlet.

Here is what we have come up with:
10 AN feed with a twin-gear pump
Single Fuel Log with a dead-head regulator @ 15-25 PSI for nitrous, no boost reference needed for plate system under 400 HP
Wye off the log to the fuel rails
Rails return to the 4 port main regulator @ 55 + boost Reference
8AN return

Also, the Nitrous Outlet Interspooler is designed for single blade induction systems, it's not uncommon for multi-blade systems to have issues with gummed up blades and other issues in the throttle body. So a plate is my only real option. I just have to somehow make it all clear the hood.

Also, I measure 3.75" between the stock leaf pack and the lip of the factory 16x8 wheel. Therefore, a 10" wide wheel is probably the limit... I forgot to measure the distance from sidewall to leaf spring.

Nothing new in the last month, but that should change this week.

I am ordering the fuel pump and filters in the morning, as well as everything else needed for the inlet side of the fuel system.

I should have the tank hung this week, then i can mount the fuel pump and get the suction side plumbed.

I ordered the new AC hoses for the V8 swap (PN HA113503C on rockauto). 2001 is an oddball year for the HVAC system, there is no interchange to other years.

I'm going to see if I can score a complete 03/04 brake/spindle assembly from both sides for a steal. If I get them, I'll order the landrum front springs.

I'm also going to start looking into the throttle pedal/cable system for the morse cable conversion.

Fuel tank is hung in the truck. Just need to paint the straps and add snubber material.

Fuel pump, filters, and suction hose/fittings ordered from Orme Bros.

AC hoses will be delivered tomorrow...yay for being close to the DC in Ft. Worth.

Going to spend tomorrow at the junkyard grabbing 03/04 brakes and make a visit over to Summit for a couple small things.

Not sure what opportunity I will have on the throttle pedal. We'll see what the time allows.

AC hoses came today, didn't get a chance to overlay them to check fitment

Spent the bulk of today at the junkyard. You don't realize how unicorny the 03/04 brakes are till you have to argue with the junkyard because their system thinks 97-04 interchange works for everything. I ended up paying $180 for both sides fully loaded spindles. I'll strip off the old parts and use them as cores for the new parts. The removal was complicated by lug-locked wheels, so the locked lugnut had to be torched off.

I'll order the coil springs from Landrum tomorrow.

I'm also working on the morse throttle cable situation. Hopefully/maybe tomorrow I will have a better idea.

Got the throttle pedal assembly built today, and put the rubber snubber material in the tank straps. Still need to drop the tank to paint the straps and glue the snubbers in place so they won't come loose. I also bought a couple longer bolts since some spots were not being very nice to me.
