Default 2001 Dakota 4x4

My 2001 dakota 4x4 started making a clicking noise after changing brakes. Had done it some before, but not near as bad. Sounds like it is coming from the front end. It is worse when slowing at 20 MPH or so. Does not do it when accelerating.
Also when 4x4 is engaged sounds like a bicycle chain rattling. Thoughts please!

you may need to recheck your brakes. Did you reinstall the large Anti-rattle clip that puts tension on the brakes? Also the rattling sound is probably the Cv-joint section on your Front Driveshaft is SHOT. There are cv rebuild kits on Ebay as well as Full driveshaft sections and the prices arent too terrible.

Front propeller shaft.

It's a common problem. The joints wear out.
