Default power gains

Hey folks I'm new here and this is my first post. I'm looking to get better acceleration and more power overall out of my 3.9. So far I have a cold air intake with ported throttle body. I'm currently looking into buying an eBay high flow cc (yes I know ebay....) so if I do buy this cc should make my exhaust a little bigger? Think it's 2.5 right now. I'm not looking to spend a whole lot just a little to help power

You won't make up much on the exhaust side of a 3.9, really isn't much to gain on the intake side either- the keg does not choke the 3.9 quite as bad as it does the V8's (but it does choke it). The ported TB makes up most of the difference there.

I'd suggest ditching the clutch fan/doing E-fan conversion, and installing the harland sharp 1.7 rockers.

I found the 1.7 rockers from Harland and may be ordering those this weekend. is there anything I can do in the meantime that will help performance that is more cost efficient?

not really. Those and the fan are the biggest things the V6 will gain from.

Make sure you get the 1.7 non-adjustables for the stock pedestals. It's a really easy conversion.

My install thread: https://dodgeforum.com/forum/2nd-gen...r-install.html

Only thing since then is I changed tuners from Hemifever to Flyin Ryan and fixed a half dozen vacuum and EVAP leaks.

I currently have a vacuum leak. It's the black line that goes through the firewall under the dash and I can't find where it goes after hours of searching. I pulled the dash and checked still nothing

Shoot me an email, I'd love to send you the latest tune files for yours. SCT has fixed so many things in the software that older tunes weren't that accurate. And you were on tunes from 5 years ago. Tons have changed.

OK so I just ordered an electric fan. What different does this make? Will it be noticeable?

pulling off the clutch fan will free up 8 hp or so. And it'll allow the motor to wind up a little quicker to get you quicker into the rpm range. it should be something you'll feel for sure. Might even snag another .5 mpg.
