Default 98 dodge Dakota no spark

I have a 98 dodge Dakota, 3.9l automatic, it started blowing the ASD fusible link, it did it for about a month, I fixed that problem, now it is getting no power to the ignition coil, I followed the wire loom around the engine to the power box, where the wire loom runs behind the power steering pump I found that the wires were rubbing and broke, I fixed the wires and still nothing, can somebody please help, I'm a good mechanic but I'm horrible with electrical

at the coil connector, check for a pulsing continuity to ground on the black wire with engine spinning over. Using a voltmeter or test light, check for a valid 12V signal at the orange wire.

Should be the other way, the ground is switched, not the hot.

The orange wire should be 12 volts hot, all the time when the ASD relay is energized.
The ground should pulse.
