Default Sequence number is worn off the ECM/PCM.

So I bought my Dakota sport at an Auction. I drove it a couple days and it kept "cutting out". On the second day it would not fire. I was told ECM. I bought another one from a 2001 dakota, this one was standard. It blew because I did not match the sequencing numbers which are worn off of mine, can I get the correct sequence numbers from the vin somewhere?

Most rebuilders can program the PCM for you via the VIN. They'll look up the option codes and set them. You just provide them with some info first.
