Un plugging the fuel injector for that cylinder may be a good idea so its not pumping fuel.

I think its OK plugged in shouldn't hurt anything

It would be very loud if you did. You wouldn't be driving it around like that.

I meant disconnect the wires to it.

You can unplug the coil, but, it doesn't really matter, no fuel to burn anyway.

I wonder if all that happened was the rocker arm popped out and damaged the lifter bore but the valves and seats are ok.
You still need a new head just less damaged than perceived.
