Default Starting and other issues

Hello everyone, I have a 2000 Dodge Dakota 5.9 4x4 with the 46re transmission. Ive had it for about 2 years now and for a few months ive noticed its getting harder to start. No matter what condition if its hot or cold it always takes 3 times to crank for it to finally turn over. I initially thought it might have to do with the fuel preassure so I have tried numerous times to cycle it from off to on (not cranking it) a couple of times. That didnt work either in addition I can hear the pump priming the system so I thought it might have to do with spark. I then checked that all my plugs were okay and the wires werent damaged everything checked out okay all wires are getting current and all spark plugs seem to fire. I dont understand what else to check any help would really be appreciated. Thank you.
Things that have been changed
Hughes plenum gasket kit
air filter
spark plugs
Ignition wires
water pump
radiator
thermostat

I'd still be suspect of the fuel pump. Do you hear it prime only on first key-on, or does it run every time you turn the key on? If the latter, the check valve in the pump has failed and is allowing the fuel rail to drain back into the tank.

Yeah, I'd be real tempted to throw a fuel pressure test gauge on there, and see what the pressure really is.
