Default Fan Clutch for 2001 Dakota V6

I have replaced my fan clutch three times and even though the last purchase was OEM it appears the problems is returning. Do I have the option of using something like a constant running fan?
Thanks,
Mike

When cold and first starting out the engine revs up like the transmission is slipping. Once I've changed the fan clutch it stopped for a period of time and with the OEM it lasted several years.

Fan clutch and transmission have nothing to do with each other. When new, the clutch tends to be nice and tight, and will loosen up with use. At initial cold start, the fan clutch tends to hang on to the fan..... so you get a roaring when the engine flares at startup, that should go away, for the most part, as the engine comes down to normal idle speed.

How long do you have to drive before the trans starts behaving properly? Has the check valve in the trans cooler line been removed?

And, just to make sure I am not just talking out my nether regions here.... what are you driving?
