If you polyurethane fix them apply it in layers so it drys if you just goop it in one shot it takes a long time to dry two layers should dry faster.
I have not done this my mounts are still good

You may want to look at this post. https://dodgeforum.com/forum/1st-gen...le-dakota.html starting down at 9.
FWIW I have seen several post with people using the liquid polyurethane. It seems a lot of the aftermarket mounts are junk and dont hold up well.

LOL, OK, set down and listen!! I will try to explain in detail.
It seems that many of the aftermarket mounts, that used to be decent, such as Anchor, are now made in China, or Indonesia, or some other third world country. They wear out fast and in a lot of cases need replaced again, within a year.
At least that has been my experience. I have a 93 corvette, one of the orig. mounts was bad with 112,000 miles. Replaced them with anchor, and less then a year latter, one of them is bad.
I have heard and read of similar experiences with dakota mounts.
My point is, even if the OP was able to find an aftermarket mount, IMO he would be better off cleaning up his existing mounts and filling them with the liquid poly.
I do disagree with you on one point. I would not pour in steps. As ragged89 said, Fill it as much as possible to help eliminate slipping......
Its a chemical hardening. From what I have read and understood. It takes about 1 week to fully cure. I would let the truck set while they cure if it was mine.
Morning guys. Thanks for all the great leads. Just ordered an Anchor 2918 and preparing to order the polyurethane from Carrs. Will pull the bad mount and see if the 2918 is the same bushing - if so will R/R the bushing and re-install the mount. Plan B will be to poly the old motor mount. More to come.
You missed my meaning but if you want to be snotty enjoy.
I have never seen after market 2.5 engine mounts only choice is DIY at this time for a 98 to 02.

No, I was just trying to add a little humor to it!!
I believe we were both saying, the liquid poly is the only or best choice.
