Default door won't unlock with key

Hi there, So I have a 2000 Dakota. A great little truck. Other than this newly developed problem. The key won't unlock the door on the drivers side. Will on the passenger side. Just wonder if anyone has any advice for me. The fob still works and the switch inside still works. I just don't carry the fob with me. Don't like anymore junk in my pockets than I already have. Wallet, pocket knife, watch, handkerchief and change plus keys is a wad already. Any help at all would be appreciated.

Will the key physically not turn? Or will it turn, and just not do anything?

The key turns, but it doesn't do anything.

Gotta go into the door then, and see what's going on.

Yeah, I figured on having to do that. Just was hoping someone had and easy fix and knew what parts I'd need.

It could be as simple as the linkage came off. Pop the door panel and check.
