No lemon law here in Iowa. I don't believe the previous owner had a clue, his maintenance records from the dealership are pretty detailed and they also said he took the truck in twice a year on top of his normal maintenance routine to have it looked over, kinda like a vehicle physical Lol.
Im looking into these refurbished PCM's that are plug n play with vin# and mileage. Can anyone suggest a reputable site to purchase from?
so far I've been told to stay clear of Flagship1?

Yeah, that would be them.

Have you checked with your local parts stores, to see what their prices are like? (turnaround time tends to be faster as well....)

Local parts store is around $300-$400 for a refurbished PCM then the dealership said they have to physically install the PCM and flash it in order to do it, another $200+.

I just got off the phone with carcomputerexchange.com and it's $218 ship to my door and that's Plug and Play, I have to ship back my old PCM for a core and it is a prepaid shipping so that is nice. She said it takes four to five business days possibly sooner and they have a lifetime warranty. I hope this is the place you were talking about Lol?

I was just checking their BBB and man did they have some bad reviews just recently. All the bad reviews were people getting multiple defective PCMs in a row and being charged crazy restocking fees ect...I read atleast 10 recent reviews and carcomputerexchange.com not once admitted to be at fault or even offer an apology. Man, what should i do? Seems like they just kept sending bad PCMs in order to fulfil the guarantee clause.

Yeah, and that's the problem...... And why I will pay a bit more to get one locally. Turnaround time is faster, and if there is a problem, you can talk to a real human being, face to face.
