Default dodge dim headlight problem

2000 dodge dakota, left hl dim
have checked pcm for loose wiring, looked for problem with ground wire in pcm,
if left headlight (hl) fuse removed in pcm, nothing happens
if right hl fuse removed in pcm both lights are out

Welcome to the forum.

The PCM, and the CTM for that matter, have nothing to do with the headlights on an '00. What fuse are you actually pulling? I'm guessing you mean fuses in the PDC.

Each headlight has it's own fuse. They share the same ground.

I suspect a bad ground, somewhere. Likely for the left headlight. Odds are the right headlight is backfeeding through the left.

Keep it simple, check the bulbs and sockets first, burnt up plugs and corrosion are common issues in all cars, then start checking ground wires.
