Default Trac loc. Or any rear locker.

Does anyone have the part # for a 29 spline. Locking rear carrier gears.
my gears are bad and I need to replace them. However the parts store keeps getting the wrong one.
they got the 27 spline in. I need the 29 spline. Have not been able to find one.
I know they make them because I have one in . The truck already.
I believe its a splicer. But not positive.

Might want to try the dealer, or a factory Chrysler parts website, I haven't been able to find anything.

27 spline is 96 and older. 29 spline is 97 and newer. Sounds like inventory is screwed up.

Do you have an open case and are looking for something to replace it with? Or to put new spider gears in your existing case? A limited slip case won't have gears, just clutches.

A limited slip carrier has spider gears just like an open diff does. The clutches are behind the spider gears.

My bad. Today I learned. I thought the factory LSD was a spiderless friction pack.

I have a 97 dakota sport. I believe its a aftermarket set up. As i took apart every rear end on about 10 Dakotas and Darangos. It the local Pick-n-Pull. None of them had the right gears. Why I'm thinking its aftermarket. Plus when the parts store pulls it up in there system. They are not the same as mine.
I need new spider gears. ( thanks to the part store giving me the wrong bearing for my pinion. ) my gears got chewed up a bit because the pinion wasn't in right. After I replaced the pinion seal and bearing. It continued to leak and worked the nut off. Causing my drive line to fall out again.
I can't seem to find a part # for new spider gears. For a 97. 29 spline.
the parts store thought they had the right part num. But when it showed up two weeks late. (Took 4 weeks to get the parts. Was told 7 to 10 days) it turned out to be for 27 spline. So now I have been trying to come up with a part # for the right set.
I use my truck for working every day. Because one mistake from one of there employees. That cost me around $2000. As i had to buy another truck to continue working. Problem with the new truck is its a 4 door Dakota. So it has no bed space. Cant but very much in it. (My girl has also claimed it as hers now too) she getting mad at me for using it for work. The main reason that I bought it was for work. So i really need to get my sport fixed asap.
so if anyone can help me out with the right part # it will be greatly appreciated.

You may want to be more specific and tell us what rear end you have first off!
