Default Heat issue

I'm having a issue in my 01 Dakota with the heat distribution.
For about 10 seconds or so, after warmed up ,the heat is felt then it goes into cooler air.Seems a tad of warmer air on far left vent but it loses heat after a bit also.
I felt the hoses going in an coming out of heater core an both felt warm .
What do I need to look at ..the blend door, actuator, etc,?
Any info is appreciated.

Or a clogged/restricted heater core. Both hoses should be HOT.

I guess I'll flush it out..
How much pressure can it take via hose ,? If I recall it's not to be too high in pressure .
Any thing I should add into inlet hose to clear out the gunk , like some radiator flush,or will the water pressure clear the gunk ok ?
Thanks

Depends on the gunk. Just water pressure can clear it out. If it is badly plugged then you'll have to replace it.

Normal water pressure should be OK. Remember to "back flush" it.

Keep in mind, typical radiator pressure is 16-18 psi, typical household water pressure is north of 50 PSI..... Municipal water pressure can run north of 80 PSI....... So, be careful.

Put both lines straight up, or, as straight as you can get them..... Fill the heater core with water, and reconnect the lines, trying to keep losses to a minimum. Then burp the air out of the system. See if you heat is any better.

Yeah, check valve will maintain some vacuum in the booster, should the engine stop running. You get one or two presses of the pedal before all assist goes away. (then it's like stepping on a rock.....)

And yep, PCV will rattle when it is working properly.
