So the transmission dipstick on my dodge is bent in a zig zag pattern for most of the length of it. Is that normal? Should I replace it? If I were to give a rough estimate the bends take away about a half inch of length. Also if you think its a good idea to replace it, any ideas on where I should look for one? I'm not finding much online.

 

Junkyard. See if the other ones look like yours. If they do, don't worry about it.

That's what I thought. This one looks like the last third got crumpled. Its not that bad but since I've had transmission issues with the truck I want to make sure I'm not causing more harm than good.
