Dakota uses the 6x4 1/2 BOLT PATTERN not 6x5 plus that's a supper thick adapter wow talk about wheel clearance problems.

You need another Dakota forum for lowered Dakotas I have seen them this is not a lowered Dakota forum.

Most just use the 17" r/t rim and pass on all the modification and $$$ you need for a quality 6 to 5 conversion.

I'm one of the few or only one using 2" drop blocks in the rear and have a lower front also by springs.

Do I like it yes my Dakota drives more like a car now. I use a very stiff suspension system/shocks so going to a 17" rim is all I want due to the ride becoming way too stiff and jarring. Would a 19" or 20" rim tire combo look great yea but I prefer a comfortable ride over cool looks so Im looking at a 17" rim with a good street tire. Even with 17"s I may need to switch to a softer shock.

In the 80's my D50 long bed 1ton drove great with high quality tires and custom Boyd rims she was a twisting mountain curve road monster that was fun.

I used bilstein shocks on my D50 excellent shocks.
