can anyone walk me through raplacing a back up light switch?

If you have a digital gear indicator, it's a 5 pin switch retained by 3 tiny bolts. Be careful with the last bolt as the switch is spring loaded and will come flying out.
If you have a mechanical gear indicator, it's a 3 pin switch that screws into the transmission case.
The switch is wet at all times, so anticipate a quart or two of ATF to come out.
