The joint connector in the PDC is the supply. The chassis is the ground.

Odds are VERY good your tow package is the culprit. They had to tap in somewhere.
Edit: Realized this should be in 3rd gen forum.
Edit 2: I'm an idiot, I thought my backup lights were running lights. Everything is fine.

Just got a 2010 and sure enough, custom tow package [front and back, they were RV'ers], literally everything works except the rear running lights.

Front running, fog, license plate, blinker, hazard, brakes.

Going to swap the upper & lower bulbs (think both are dual filament) or see if there is voltage via multi-meter when front are on.

The top bulbs light up all the time (dim red), brighter for brakes, flash for blinker and hazard. Is it legal to drive without the bottom running lights?

Side note: I noticed as well that my left blinker flashes super fast vs the right. Potentially should I just start by replacing all four?
