99 dakota with the factory fog lights.. i bought it from the original owner and he said they just stopped working one day, i replaced one of the bulbs to see if that was it and no luck im thinking maybe its the switch? what do you think

 

check the fuses?

 

I have a 98 and i have the same prob. the light and fuses are both good they just dont work

 

Check the relay.

 

where is it located

 

Replace the switch. They had a problem with them. Had to replace the one on my '99 R/T.

 

If it's not the switch, the relay is in the power distribution center located right behind the battery under the hood. When you snap the cover off, you can look on the back of it to see which relay it is.

 

Its the switch!
I have a 1999 R/T and mine went out also!

So I removed the switch and got bored! Took apart the switch and found the little copper wiper that is connected to the switch.

I used a little dab of CA glue, which you can get at any hobby shop, and put it back into place and BINGO!

They work again!

Who knows how long they will last though!

 

yeah but could the switch being bad on an 03 cause the headlights to flicker, and all the interiors and stuff?.....like everything in the lighting system flickers on mine when i have the headlights on, i got nailed last night for it
