Question Brake drums 1mm too thin after turning

I may get slammed for asking but... how concerned should I be about brake drums being 1 mm under the minimum thickness after being turned?

Replace them. They are cheap, and your life depends on them.

Get new drums. I've seen them crack around the circumference and the braking surface comes off all the way. No brakes at all on that wheel and if the band that breaks off slides out of position, the wheel cylinder will blow the ends out and your brakes are toast.

Depends on what you are buying drums for. Mine are NOT cheap..... Turning them is, provided I can find someplace that actually still does it........
