What Tools to Carry in Your Truck

What Tools to Carry in Your Truck
I would like to start a thread about tools. We all love tools! So much in fact that many people including myself even drive around with a small assortment of them in my truck at all times. You never know when you might need to quickly fix your own ride, somebody else's ride, or something else non-automotive (which I find most often).
There are a million different types of tools and gear to choose from. It can be very hard when limited to picking just enough tools/supplies to perform a wide range of work, with limited storage space.
I hope people can read this thread not only currently, but even years later regardless of what kind of vehicle they drive, and take in some useful ideas.
What kind of tools/supplies do you keep in your truck? How often do you use them?

I used to fill the trunk; jackstands, jack and a complete toolkit....now I carry no tools. if I break down; I'm calling AAA and towing it to my shop. I will not fix anything on the side of the road. For the most part, there isn't much you can fix on the side of the road without replacement parts.
What are the most common faults that leave a driver stranded: fuel pump, flat tire, alternator, water pump, battery, steering/suspension parts
The best thing you can do is have your vehicle properly maintained.
I do carry a emergency roadside kit, blankets, jumper cables, flashlight, non perishable food, water, candles, first aid kit, tire inflator.

My daily, I just have a crescent wrench in the console. Doubles as 35 standard wrenches and a weapon if I ever need to launch it through somebody's eye socket. Might have a screwdriver or two, honestly don't know.
The race truck, I carry a full set of wrenches/sockets (like 80-odd piece set) plus a crescent and breaker bar with proper lug socket.

You just reminded me thta I carry a pair of fencing pliers under the front seat. If I see a crash, most cars lock the doors automatically and if the occupants are unconscious, I can take a window to effect entry. I normally mind my own business but lately if I see a car seat in a car as I walk through a parking lot, I look inside to make sure there's not a kid in it. There won't be a dead babay in a car if I can help it.
