Default Air suction test/plenum

Has anyone ever tried that air pressure test on your dodge to see if there is a plenum leak?
-you cover or cap off the pcv valve an the hose going to it an you start the motor then feel for any suction on the other hose off other valve cover? Brief test -then turn off an reattach everything
I've seen a TSB on it an few videos on it too.
Any strong suction pressure is a sign its bad.

Test can be done on many models an rams too.

Yep. I did it on mine. Disable pcv, take off the oil fill cap. If the plenum is bad, there will be little or no air movement at the fill cap, or, even worse, there will still be vacuum there. If everything is working as advertised, should be a breeze coming OUT of the fill cap.

So do I plug off both the hose to pcv an the pcv too?
An do I plug other side hose off valve cover ?
Or does that check both sides at same time?

Thanks

Disconnect the vacuum line from the pcv at the manifold, plug both of those. Disconnect the other hose from the air box, and just plug the hose. It's all the same system.....

I did the test -
Plugged PVC an its hose an felt the air hose off valve covr on other side where it goes into top breather an it was blowing air a bit ,
Will this tell the same as your test with oil cap?
An is that a sign the plenum is fine, or bad?
Thanks

If you were getting air out, then you are likely OK.

Thanks..I even looked down the throttle after warm an it was good..
So is the only other place its slowly loosing or burning oil in the engine?.
Sending unit plug is not leaking an I dont see a valve cover leak..
Any info on what else to check is appreciated.

Apparently, valve seals can account for quite a bit of oil consumption......
