Yeah, sounds like park/neutral switch isn't doing its job. No idea where it is on your trans though.

Default Update

Been starting fine with the ground jumper on it. Today I was on the road approximately 1.5hrs with it and stopped back by the farm to check trail cams, got it in and it turned over and started but would turn right off, like it was starving for fuel.

Checked and had a P0688 PCM code. It relates to an over voltage issue. Let sit for about 2hrs and it started right up.

Either i I have a wiring issue or PCM issue, not sure which. I’m wondering if the PCM is causing the no start and cruise also.

Does anyone if an 2004 PCM will work in my 2003?

yea it's a auto shutdown relay error
Check these an also secure the wiring harness to ECM -known to have problems-
  • Weak battery
  • Low voltage while cranking
  • Faulty Engine Control Module (ECM) relay
  • Blown ECM fuse
  • Faulty ECM
  • ECM harness is open or shorted
  • ECM circuit poor electrical connection
