Default 2001 Dodge Dakota Passenger Side Heated Mirror w/ backing plate

Somebody smashed my passenger side mirror and I'm looking to just replace the mirror with the heated backing plate. The housing and the power controls are fine. It's for a 2001 Dodge Dakota Quad cab 4x4 SLT 4.7 liter engine model with power heated folding side mirrors. The dimensions of the mirror are about 9.75" x 5.5". I can't seem to find the replacement anywhere. I can't even find the correct part number. I tried searching these forums and nothing came up. Help!

Call your dodge dealer, and see if it is even available as a separate part. If it is, you can google search the part number, and likely come up with dozens of sources. But then, it may NOT be available separately, and you may have to replace the entire mirror..... A-Mautoparts.com has done pretty well by me for parts of that nature.

If you can't find the heated glass, you might consider just a universal pad. I did this on my civic of many moons ago . I separated the mirror from its backing plate placed the universal pad on it and then pressed the 3 together. But as always ymmv

x2. I think all 6x8 dumbo mirrors were heated and folding, i could be wrong. The 5x7 sport mirrors were non-heated and non-folding? Or were they both heated and unheated?
