Lightbulb 2.5 Boosted?

Let's say you have a mint stock 2.5 from 1998 and you wanted to throw a turbo at it. Where would you start/how would you approach it? Could you walk me through the steps?
With stock internals, how much boost could it handle?
Preliminary thank you!

Generally, a motor in good shape can tolerate 5 to 7 psi boost. Of course, that assumes that you have all the supporting hardware necessary as well. You will need a 2 or 3 bar map sensor, and a custom tune for the pcm, so that it understand the sensor, and boost. May need larger injectors..... and don't forget all the plumbing on the exhaust side..... It's doable, but, not inexpensive.

I had the same idea in highschool with my 87 Dakota 2.2. I was gonna Rob everything off a 2.5 turbo caravan and make it work. But I never got past the thought of it, lol.
