Default Convert "98 Dak lights to LEDs, Maybe?

Was getting ready to buy a new vehicle to replace my '98 Dak.
Had to buy a new front bumper bar to replace the rusted out one.
Then, after cleaning the rust stains off the plastic dam below the bar it looks so good I think I'll keep it now.
So, I need to replace at least a couple of the turn/break bulbs to get it back fully running right again.

Looking online almost all the 3157 bulbs are LEDs.
I'm thinking of converting all external lights to LEDs.
I'm coming down with the feeling that it'll be somewhat of a problem.
Headlights should be no problem, but turn/break lights and maybe others may be something else.

I'm thinking the LEDs will not use as much juice as the incandescent lights and cause problems with the flasher.
Right?
What else?

All I've really done is quickly gloss thru that thread.
If I can find an off the shelf flasher that fits my Dak and will control my turn signals I will give it a try.
If not, I'll stick with incandescents.
I've got too many other things I'm working on requiring too much of my time for the foreseeable future.

I'm glad I thought of this before I bought the LEDs.
I'd have been very ticked off if I had the LEDs and couldn't use them.
Thanks

I've been really tied up between day job, self employment, and racecar. But I plan to build and keep-on-shelf a set of compatible flashers.

You won't find an LED flasher module in the aftermarket. I searched hard. Either one is made, or you use load resistors at each corner. The latter defeats one of the biggest advantages of LEDs, which is to lighten the load on your charging system. Plus they get super hot.

I have all the components to make another LED flasher if you wish to PM me.

Edit: Just realized you said your truck was a 98'. I don't think the flasher I have will fit your year and you might be able to find an LED compatible unit out there, as I wasn't searching for that year. I have the later combo flasher.

@Dodgevity
You may possibly be mistaken.
This and others seem to be claiming to fix the problems.
Amazon Amazon

It will take some verifying to be sure they do the job with LEDs as well as a standard flasher with incandescent bulbs .

That led flasher will work in a vehicle with normal flasher spots. The one on the 2001 has a double side extra special unit

ohhh yea. 2000 and newer is the double-sized. For 99 and older, a standard 'L' version of the flasher is for LED's and will work.

As stated, 2000 and up has the large flasher relay. Not sure why Amazon is stating that flasher will work for later years, unless they can be stacked in twos?
