Default Reprogramming with a clone

So I'm looking to get a clone of some sort because id like to program the replacement pcm with the vin of my 01 (it doesn't match because previous owner replaced it). Does anyone have suggestions for a clone for the micropod or witech that will do this or can do this?

To my knowledge, the DRB3 with PC interconnect is required to do this. I believe a WiTech running the DRB3 emulator can also flash VINs.

I don't know of any non-Miller Specialty Tools that have this capability. Mayyyyybe an MT2500 with proper card?

I'd check my vci cart (seems to have lost its flash) but it died a couple years ago. The autel 708 I have doesn't do it. So I'm looking at getting a clone that can do the drb3 emulation. These I understand aren't as pricey

So I found my ds708 can change the pcm vin. While it appears to work, I am still unable to get/clear the reason my abs light is on/or even communicate to the abs module

Hhhmmm..... May wanna have a chat with some of your local garages, and see if any of them have the ability to read ABS codes on your truck. I am pretty sure the MT2500 (SnapOn) can do ABS codes with the proper adapters, and they have gotten pretty cheap of late...... Might be useful to have one.

Bosch also makes a little handheld that can read ABS codes. I think it was about 50 bucks at Auto Zone, bought it about 6-7 years ago.

I will have to see if the 2001 american cart I have works on the brick. My 2004 vci cart died so that's the reason I got the ds708
