Default Most Accessories just went out

I was camping this weekend, and when I went to leave, my 2000 dodge dakota with a 3.7L started up just fine, but I couldn't use my windshield wipers. I checked the dash and saw both ABS and and Air bag lights on. The radio is dark, the speedometer doesn't work, the wiper fluid was doesn't work. Headlights work, brakes work, shifting and drive is as good as normal.

Closest thing I could find that seems to affect these systems is a front control module. Is that something that I should (can) test?

Are there any relays that can affect all these systems without affecting any of the drivetrain?

Andrew

Start by checking fuse 10. It's a 40 amp fuse in the PDC under the hood. It's like the "main breaker" for those circuits. There are other fuses in the JB on the side of the dash that control each individual circuit.

If the fuse is good, the ignition switch has multiple circuits. Check for power there. It also could be a break in the column wiring, especially if you have a tilt wheel.

I'll do that, Thanks Dan!

Fuse 10 appears to have been the problem, pulled it and put it back in and the symptoms went away. Guess it was loose or something. Thanks for the direction.

Could've just been a temporary blip in the PCM as well. My 98 3.9 did that before. Started it and began to back out and noticed my stereo wasn't on and my dash wasn't working. Simply turning it off and back on remedied this. Glad to hear it wasn't anything major for you though.
