Talking 04 Dak 4x4 susp lift /level discovery

I recently found out how impossible it is to lift the 04 4x4. Well, w/o going with a body lift. I bought a 3" susp. kit with shocks, had it installed, keys, u bolts, and it's a nice look. However, talk about rake. Those torsion keys don't bring the front end up a full 3". I'm buying 285/75/r16's with 1" spacers but, not keen on taking a Sawzall to my fenders. I looked all over for something to bring the front up to match the rear , and found nothing. Until I stumbled upon this 😁
Pro Billet front SHOCK lift spacers.
Ordered but, not delivered yet. Has anyone else used these?

I'll try to add a photo another way
Dang, that's huge

Those allow you to use shorter (stock) shocks on a lifted truck. They won't give you any additional lift.

That's not what I wanted to find out.
WHY would Anyone spend money for torsion keys, u bolts and blocks, lift their truck, and not purchase shocks for a lifted truck?
Shocks are not much more than this "lift / leveling" kit. So, your telling me that suspension companies have spent time and money designing, engineering, fabricating, marketing, etc. A freaking part that simply allows to keep a short shock? WHO!?! would do this? I can't wrap my head around someone spending thousands on a truck, lifting it, tires, alignment, etc. And spending $50. on these just to save an additional $75. for new shocks. Shocks are cheap compared to everything else 4 by related. Of all the lame @ss things I've come across in my life...
WHY is there nothing fabricated to level up the front suspension to a true 3" on a 04 4x4? Is the Only available leveling up solution a entire front end swap in order to have struts? Let me ask you this, would dropping the back to level with the front, then body lift 3 inches require longer drive shaft? I expect brake lines and radiator hose. What about steering, and the rest of the wiring harness? I mean, I'm wanting a level 3 inch lift, not a monster truck.
I don't get why are these listed as a "lift/leveling" product included with other coil over spacers that level up a front end of every other year and model dakota dodge made?
Any advice, direction? And please don't say sell it. Then again 😥...

Default But ready to put my head through a wall

After reading description, and finding these within the leveling lift kit section, logic would lead anyone to believe these are to shocks as pucks are to struts

Your shocks don't support the load on the front (or rear...) of the truck, unless you are running coilovers. If you put those on a stock truck, sure, it may lift the truck some, but, only because the shocks now cannot compress any more, and they pick up the role of playing bump stop. (which is REALLY bad for them, and your ride quality.) The springs/torsion bars support the weight, the shocks merely control it over uneven terrain. Don't know about the daks... but, on the full size trucks, the shocks have enough travel, that if you only lift it 3" or less, stock shocks will still work just fine.

The biggest problem you are going to run into, is suspension angles. At 3" of lift, your balljoints and tie rod ends are going to suffer.... and will have dramatically shorter lifespans. In order to get around that, you need different control arms, or lowering brackets for the control arm mounts, or some variety of spacer, that alters the ball joint angle. (I *think* someone used to make 'high angle' ball joints for just such an occasion... but, I haven't seen them in years.)

This is all part of the fun of lifting an IFS truck.

As for the money spent to develop/market the part..... Look at throttle body spacers. Lots of folks make 'em, make incredible claims about them, when in reality, on a port injected motor, they don't do anything at all. (aside from lighten your wallet......)

HeyYou's spot on all the way through this.

Your best bet is to find a set of torsion bar keys that will re-clock the bars and get some lift that way. Ergo, you'll then find out what HY said above, you'll run out of ball-joint angle as well as camber adjustment.

Sure thing guys ; \ Thanx
Well, I've gotta say, ya 'all weren't much help. Maybe next time you feel the need swing your virtual wrenches, you should read and re read the person's post? And stay On topic. Not once did I mention anything about throttle body spacers. Neither one of you commented about how screwed up it is to call a shock extender a lift leveling kit. In your jaw dropping self defense, I'm certain you'll point out how someone may gain . 016 of an inch of lift. Granted, with OEM shocks on a SIXTEEN YEAR OLD TRUCK 😣🤣 WHO?.. No one does.
And dude 2, are you alright? Photo of truck with 3"of rake is post (meaning after) torsion keys, blocks, shocks (yes, extended and new) and U bolts installed. Kit claimed 3" frt & 3"rear. Pre install, stock height, front sat 1" lower than empty bed. Hauling feed, lumber, etc. Towing horse trailers, oem shocks weren't wise. I installed a pair of Monroe load Adj coil overs and Those shocks pushed the back end up 1.5" with the 3"lift install, 4 off road shocks, Monroes are in a box.
Moog upper and lower ball joints, bushings installed less than 4k miles ago.
Truck rides great, no steering issues, 4H and 4L work splendidly, nothing binding, shimmying, squeeling, or rubbing. Changed transfer case oil 1k mi ago, popped the rear diff cover last year, gears are healthy and rolling in new 75 / 90 with limited slip.
And ToMorrow brakes, calipers will be red
Ion wheels, Toyo Open Country AT3's 285/75/R16's, possible fender redection.
And of course alignment.
Contemplating front end swap, OR drop rear level to front, then body lift 2" as no stress on arms and *****. God forbid 🤔🤣
Then I may list the truck and shop the new Renegade.
THANKS BOYS
YOU'VE BEEN A BIG HELP
HAPPY TRAILZ
