Default Blower motor trouble shooting

I have checked the fuse box listings, The fuse which controls that also runs the radio which is working. Other suggestions for non working blower motor?

Resistor block? Bad switch? Bad ground from the switch?

What year is your truck? It could also be the ignition switch but I'd suggest you check the resistor first.

My truck had a burned wire on the plug under the blower motor. Splicing in a new plug fixed the problem. If this is your issue it will be blindingly obvious, because the plug will show signs of burning when you pull it out. It plugs straight up into the blower motor.

I recently replaced my blend doors which required me to completely pull my dash off, and of course dropping the steering column. Two weeks later I had the air bag recall done. After I picked it up, I noticed my blower motor wasn't working. Long story short, there is a connection on the left side of the steering column that wasn't seated all the way that controls the blower motor. I found it by accident while I was adjusting my steering column while the truck was running. The blower motor worked when the column was in the up position and cut out when I lowered the column......the connection wasn't seated all the way.
This was after I checked all the resistors and switches.
this was on an 03 Ram 1500.

I went thru a few resistors an found the blower motor was causing it to overdraw.New blower helped. This is a common issue on these an especially if the wires to the resistor connection are the original thin ones .The resistor kit has larger wiring in harness .Look for a burn mark on the connector to resistor after unplugging it .
