Default transfer case

So I have a 2005 Dakota quad cab and the transfer case cracked in half. I have a used case from a 2004 Dakota that is still an nv233 but the motor and wiring are different. Do yall know if this is a possible switch if I do some rewiring?

Think I would be more inclined to transfer the shift motor from the old case, to the new one......

That could be a problem.

Check wiring diagrams, and compare them. See which wires do what. I really don't know if it'll work. I haven't liked the electronic shift transfer case since GM first introduced them back in the 90's........

Other alternative would be to tear them down, and swap the shaft as well..... But, that seems like an awful lot of work... Can't find a correct year t-case?
