Default 2002 4.7 lifter noise, still there after all new lifters

Changed all 8 lifter on drivers side.. ( Melling # JB-2271 )... I'm still getting a lifter tick. Why ?
.
Lifter are pumped up and firm as they all full oiled. All rockers seem to be all good on up and down play in the rollers. 200+ k miles.
.
Also the pcm does not display any code, window stays unilluminated, nothing the window stays blank. The mileage does appear in the window. Accessory 3 times leave on to see Codes nothing.
.
Tick seems to be one of the two back cylinders Left side

Right side is considered the passenger side.... Or, is it the right side as you are standing in front of the truck?

Might be an exhaust leak??

You are correct , I know better. ....I meant to say Left side..... You think I'd know I made a mistake. as I retired from automotive Prototype Fab in Detroit. I wish it was an Exhaust leak.

What are you playin with there?? That looks REALLY intriguing.

Got a bore scope that will twist itself around so you can see the valve seats?

Pretty sure if lifters are worn in one bank, the same goes for the other. Unless you are listening with a stethoscope, the source of lifter tick can sometimes be tricky to pin down. Change them all.

The original noise was only on the drivers side. As stated all 8 ( left side ) were replaced.

Made a mess, but I ran it no valve cover. Applied pressure to follower while running,
.
NO change in the ticking sound, no noticeable change in the noise.
Al followers have no noticeable wear on the trunnion to roller wear.

Did you check the cam lobes while you had the lifters out? If they're worn, and I think I read here somewhere that the 4.7L valvetrain is not adjustable, the pushrods may no longer be quite long enough and will make a ticking noise. If this is not the case I'm sure I will be corrected, but if I'm right you may need a new cam.
