pull one off, identify what the thread size and pitch is on the head side, then the bolt size and call Tacoma Screw and see if they have it. If they dont have it, search the web for other fastener distributors and start calling...
Yes get the thead pitch an size an get new hardened steel ones..not junkyard "breaker bolts"..
i had to tap drill mine our years ago,
Fastenall has em too.
Yes valve cover bolts arent as common a problem as the popular "exhaust manifold break off of dakota bolts" ..
I prefer local so i can liteally compare it right there an stainless steel are good too.
I'd visit a junkyard. You may find some in screw bins, but not all. I recall some of the valve cover bolts having differences based on location for the 4.7L Some were studs and some were longer than others, etc. I had to mark the valve cover to make sure I put them back in the right order.
The local covienience beats the waiting game with mail an you see it right there beside your original an can compare/ buy/install .an even return same day .I never buy those type things online unless its a very rare type.
Theres a chart with every size, actual bolt and hole also, in many hardware stores an some auto parts stores .Option 2 at a junkyard if its a special design bolt on dodges an not local.
I had to get a differential bolt after one broke, ..took old one in to screw sizing chart got it an an its on ..#8 grade. ..much faster local if you have that option.
