If your ever able to get the tube setup let me know your feedback. I think I mentioned this but after having them for a bit I let my son-in-law drive it and the bottom end torque took him by surprise when he left the driveway. Snaped both our heads back lol. It is worth the effort to get something in there. I am concluding that the path to success there lies in the intake manifold volume and the engines ability to pull a vacuum in that space. I have hit a wall during testing with this which led me to this conclusion. The higher the rpms, the easier it is to get the most out of it. Not long ago I once again went back to the TCM mod and am still not happy with the way it works for me. The 3.55's in the diffs are the killer, plus the way it shifts. I doubt I'll be going back to it. What it did show me was the rpm being so low on the grades and the lack of a downshift the engine performance becomes a dud. The stock controller works better with the 285/75/16's that are on there. I am pretty sure I'd get over 20 if and when I go back to a 265/70/16 tire. Even better if I did the non-E rated tire (weight).

I just bit the bullet and bought a scan tool that will do the vin programming I need to give the HP tuners another shot. Now all I need is to find the right ECM which works (have tried a few which did not work) so I can have a backup. The Ram is still down for the clutch and cant have the Dak go down for any reason so the backup ecm is needed.

There is another Dak with the right VIN in the yards right now but it is a long drive to get there. There is a set of OEM wheels and tires about an hour past the wrecking yard, may make an offer on them if they are still available, he's had them online for a while now. The tires on those wheels are in decent shape and will work for a test of the lighter tires on mpgs. If this truck had the 3.92's it would be a beast in its current state.

Was in Finland last year for 3 weeks... took this shot of a lake house we stayed at (family owned) for 10ish days. Unbelievable lake, warm waters and sandy beach. i was told the sandy beach is not common... Pic of the sunrise @ the latke at 0330. It was way lighter then what I snapped (camera settings).

Update... with the air dam in place, I am now able to leverage some of the eco-driving techniques that I am used to (in & out of drive as needed), already seeing a positive impact from the addition of the air dam.

Mine is bolted to the front sub-frame (swaybar is attached to it) and is extending from the flag nuts that stick out on each side. 5" garden edging used.

Update, got the speedo corrected... did a 220ish mile run on a fillup & got a 16.7 mpg tank that was 100% dgas... speeds u to 75 mph, stop & go traffic, lots of shorter runs. Filled up to do a before/after comparison with previous commute tanks. The speedo is +/- 0.5~0.75 of the GPS speed on 2 different devices.

Note... truck has a fuel leak at the top of the tank that shows on fillup so mpg's could be even better. Going to swap the pump (thats where I think it is coming from) early August.
