Default Need..2002 dodge dakota 4.7 ignition capacitor-ignition

What happens when a 2002 dodge Dakota 4.7 ignition capacitor-ignition fails ?? Crank's have fuel no start. I believe this is a ground filter for ignition. Coils !..

No listing at Parts store's. Needs not be a Mopar part.

Right front inner fender, mounted on weld stud. No continuity thru Capacitor.
Crank no start have fuel pressure

You're not going to get continuity thru a cap, if you do its bad...

My understanding this is the 5 volt ground for the coil circuit. Finding a replacement is Problematic.

Download the manual and verify what it is. A ground will not have a serial cap on it, a coil can though.

now it is making more sense the cap is most likely holding a charge for the relay to stay engaged. find the circuit in the schematics/wiring diagram and see how it is connected to the relay.

i would bet it is a part used over many dodge models. pull that part off and take steel wool or a sanding wheel to clean up the tab and reinstall. you can also measure its value after the cleaning with a volt meter that has capacitor functions.

It has no continuity thru the module. I finally got a dealer to find the part. I'll have it Saturday, I hope. I'll post the results. Cowboy thank you for your input, I appreciate your time and effort.
