Dakota 03 stampede 4.7 tstat bolts

Default Dakota 03 stampede 4.7 tstat bolts

what's up fellas got 03 Dakota 4.7 5 speed. changed clutch,flywheel,master,slave cylinder. went to change thermostat housing and t stat bottom bolt snapped why they moved it to bottom hose idk but it's 8mm just wondering what exact measurements were have a c clamp holding up good no leak but don't wanna hit bump go flying off. why did they go from 13mm to 8 mm for the bolt size idk. Amy help appreciated taking to shop in couple days they're gonna weld to broken bolt and extract it

I think all chrysler engines are 5/16 thermostat bolts. The 4.7 being a more german design, it wouldnt surprise me if metric.

The Germans had nothing to do with the 4.7L. Initial designed was by AMC and it began being used the same year that Mercedes acquired Chrysler (1998).
