HP Tuners Lessons Learned 4.7 engine

Oh, and I also have a power steering cooler that I plan to plumb in to the heater core return line, just need to find a place to mount it where it will get some airflow. The cooler came off a 2nd gen Durango and has the 5/8" coolant lines equal to the Daks... the idea there is to give it a bit more of cooling stability in slower traffic. Since I have a 180* stat, my fans dont engage, I prefer to have the engine run at 190* or so and that does not occur in stop & go traffic, temps creap up to 200* or higher unless I use the heater system to cool the heater core.

Adding link... here is a post where Airram made that comment, it is probably here on DF but I have not run across it...

I realize that it didn’t not attach the photo I took to the cams I was removing today. The Jeep I was working on was HO but the drivers side had a lifter come out of the seat causing the rocker to go through the valve cover. However, the passenger side was in good shape.
Here is the HO cam from the passenger side !
As a bonus, I found a K&N CAI !! Not sure how much it costs brand new but still a steal for $18.

With what i have learned (and shared) a cai handcuffs the truck. Stock air box for bottom end torque under part throttle load coupled with free-er flowing air box when demand requires it. (With the vacuum controlled exhaust cutout on air box)
If i never get to tune this truck, its current output more then satisfies the need for more power. It exceeds what any tune has done for all gas motors that i have modded.
The key is to remove turbulence in all areas of the intake and its flow, plus the PT mod... truck screams with the 3.55s and 265-75-16 tires...
I admit to have an really hard time keeping my foot out of it...

Dodge 4.7 jtec
Hello,
I'm new to this (and maybe a year or two late), but curious if anyone is still out there.
I have a 2003 Durango SLT+ with 4.7 jtec ("Magnum" plaque on the engine) and I can't seem to find a Programmer / Tuner that works with it. I have 10-yeart old Actron box that reads everything, but I can't find a newer Tuner that works with my 4.7. They won't even read the Codes or PID's. Any advice or direction is appreciated.
Thanks!
~Bruce
